“You are not alone” resonates in the back of your mind and yet you are unsure of whether or not you have the strength to stand up and speak out. Will you be bullied? Will you become another victim? Will you look weak? The reality is that by opening up and sharing your story you are not only helping yourself, but you are helping others who are not as brave as you are. As redundant as it may sound, you give voice to the voiceless. You empower other young women, just like yourself, to understand that being a victim of any kind of abuse should not and will not be tolerated. The goal of the We Are GROUP ONE project is to empower young women across the country, and internationally, to stand up to abuse and violence against women.
